How Does It Work?

It's 11 on 11, with at least 4 women. It's exactly as you remember it (rolling ball, no bouncies) and we keep it exciting for everyone on the team through our four divisions (Players, Sorta Players, Casual and Extremely Casual).

What's the Cost and What's Included?

Early/regular registration will open July 26th/August 6th and close August 5th/August 20th or earlier if the league sells out. League fees are $1150/$1250 for a team of up to 18 players ($35 for each additional player over 18 - no limit to number of players on your roster) and $95/$105 for individuals (we'll get everyone on a team). Rosters are generally 17-19 players (5-7 women and 5-7 men). ZogSportsNJ donates a percentage of our profit to charity.

Fee Includes:

7 regular season games
One head referee/game
50% of the teams will qualify for the heart-wrenching single elimination playoff tournament
One t-shirt per person on the roster
Field fees
Equipment
"Prize Money" from our sponsors donated to the winning team's charity of choice
League administration
Organized Happy Hours at local bars after the games

When Does It Start and When Are the Games?

Regular season games begin mid September.
Games will be played Monday through Thursday between weeknights 7pm through 11pm.

Where Are We Playing?

All games will be played at Momma Johnson Field at 4th & Jackson Street in Hoboken.

Please note that game times, location and dates mentioned above are a very good guideline, but may change slightly.

What Are the Rules?

This is a fun, recreational league, so we want everyone to play, stay involved and stay safe. The key rules are:

11 on 11, with at least 4 women on the field at all times with everyone present in the kicking order
No bouncie pitches
You can throw the ball at someone to get them out, but you must hit them below the shoulders
7-inning games

Levels of Play

Players - Think you're a jock? This division will be competitive, but still fun.
Sorta Players - Pretty good athletes, maybe played together before, but still social.
Casual - Played before? Not a bad athlete? This is the happy middle ground.
Extremely Casual - Inexperienced at football? Just looking for a fun time? It's for you if you're looking more for the social than the competition or consider yourself a beginner at the organized game.

ZogSportsNJ will try to accommodate all team and individual player requests for Division, but cannot guarantee all requests. We will not place an individual player more than 1 division (above or below) their original request. In order to create the best possible experience for the whole league ZogSportsNJ will place returning teams in the division we feel most appropriate.
