It's 8-on-8, 5 men and 3 women on the field at all times. It's no contact, 2-hand touch football. And we keep it exciting for everyone on the team through our four divisions (Players, Sorta-Players, Casual and Extremely Casual) and our “female as a primary player” rule. Early/regular registration will open May 3rd/May 15th and close May 14th/May 28th or earlier if the league sells out. League fees are $1,000/1,100 for a team of 15 players ($35 for each additional player over 15 - no limit to number of players on your roster) and $100/115 for individuals (we'll get everyone on a team). ZogSportsNJ donates a percentage of our profit to charity.
Fee Includes:
- 6 regular season games
- One head referee/game
- 50% of the teams will qualify for the heart-wrenching single elimination playoff tournament
- One t-shirt per person on the roster
- Field fees
- Equipment
- "Prize Money" from our sponsors donated to the winning team's charity of choice
- League administration
- Organized Happy Hours at local bars after the games
The season kicks off Early to Mid June. All teams will play games on Sundays. Your division does not determine when you play. Games start between 6:30pm and 10:30pm.
All games will take place at JFK Field at Hoboken High School. JFK Field is located at 10th and Jefferson Street in Hoboken.
- Players Division - Think you're a jock? This division will be competitive, but still fun.
- Sorta Players - Pretty good athletes, maybe played together before, but still social.
- Casual Division - Played before? Not a bad athlete? This is the happy middle ground.
- Extremely Casual Division - this is the pure fun division. It's for you if you're looking more for the social than the competition or consider yourself a beginner at the organized game.
ZogSportsNJ will try to accommodate all team and individual player requests for Division, but cannot guarantee all requests. We will not place an individual player more than 1 division (above or below) their original request. In order to create the best possible experience for the whole league ZogSportsNJ will place returning teams in the division we feel most appropriate.
